The steps for cleaning car headlights are as follows:

1. Dust removal: First, use a clean cloth to wipe the surface of the headlights to ensure that the dust is completely removed.

2. Covering protection: Use tape to stick and cover the edge area of the headlights to avoid damage to the surrounding paint or decorative strips in subsequent steps.

3. Preliminary polishing: Immerse 1000 grit sandpaper in cold water for 10 minutes, and then wipe the headlight housing evenly. Polish in one direction, keep the surface moist, and pay attention to the appropriate path to avoid damaging surrounding components.

4. Fine polishing: Use 1500 grit sandpaper to repeat the above polishing steps, but change the polishing direction. Subsequently, use sandpaper numbered 2000, 2500, and 3000 for multiple rounds of polishing. Each time the sandpaper is replaced, it is angled to the previous direction to ensure a smooth surface of the headlights.
